The interview

What were your primary goals when seeking out training from the Institute of Restorative Health?

I wanted to be able to offer this investigatory level of care for my clients. I wanted to be able to offer functional testing like the GI map and the MRT test, and I wanted to feel so confident building a phased protocol for my clients. IRH absolutely provided that for me.

Can you tell us about your professional background and what led you to this field?

I am Caroline Fausel, a nutritional therapy practitioner living in Denver, Colorado. I also run a media company for wellness, so I am a food blogger and an author. For many years, I made recipes and cookbooks for the masses, but I realized I wanted to transition to working with people one-on-one and in groups to give them a healing transformation.

Why did you choose IRH specifically alongside your other certifications?

I was looking at becoming an NTP and I knew that it would go hand in hand with the IRH Level One Gastrointestinal Healing Program. I knew that I could not just be an NTP; I had to also have this deeper level knowledge of healing the GI system. For me, it was non-negotiable.

Can you share a specific success story where this training made a difference for a client?

I had a client come to me with debilitating headaches who had already seen four different practitioners. We ran a GI map gut testing panel and an MRT test, and we realized she had some H. pylori at work. By removing those foods and following the protocol, her headaches got a lot better and all of her digestive things went away, which she didn't even know was possible.

How has this training impacted your business and confidence as a practitioner?

What IRH and Level One provided for me was the ability to take on more complicated clients. In terms of ROI, more complex cases are going to bring you more income. I really don't think that I would feel comfortable practicing without this knowledge and training.

What is your final recommendation for other practitioners considering the program?

I cannot recommend it enough. The ability to offer functional testing, understand the results when they come to you, and then be able to apply those results to a protocol that you feel confident will achieve results for your client—there is just nothing like it.

Frequently asked

Can a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner succeed without advanced GI training?

Caroline Fausel stated that she felt she could not just be an NTP alone; she viewed the IRH Level One training as a non-negotiable requirement to have the deeper knowledge necessary for healing the GI system.

Is the Institute of Restorative Health worth the investment for practitioners?

Caroline Fausel notes that the value is difficult to put into words, as the training allows practitioners to take on more complicated clients, which directly leads to increased income and higher ROI.

How does IRH help with client results in complex cases?

The program teaches practitioners how to offer functional testing, understand the results, and apply them to a phased protocol. Caroline used these skills to identify H. pylori in a client, leading to a total healing transformation.

I wanted to be able to offer this like investigatory level of care for my clients, so I wanted to be able to offer functional testing like the GI map and the MRT test, and I wanted to feel so confident building a phased protocol for my clients. And I was so confident that's what IRH would provide me, and it absolutely did. So I think the value, I can't even put into words. I really don't think that I would feel comfortable practicing without this knowledge and training. Hey, I am Caroline Fossil. I live in Denver, Colorado, and I am a nutritional therapy practitioner, and also I run a media company for wellness, so I am a food blogger and an author and just love all things wellness. So for so many years, I had been a food blogger, and I had made recipes and cookbooks for the masses. It was just a transition for me when I realized I wanted to transition from working with the masses to being able to work with people one-on-one and in groups to really give them a healing transformation. And so that's when I realized I need to get some training so that I am able to help people the way that all of the practitioners that I had used over the years were able to help me. I was looking at becoming an NTP. I knew that it would go hand in hand with the IRH Level One Gastrointestinal Healing Program. So I went from one right to the other. I knew that I could not just be an NTP. I had to also have this deeper level knowledge of healing the GI system. So for me, it was non-negotiable. There was not kind of like a before and after, like before IRH and after IRH. It has been there since the beginning. I knew that I would have to have that training to do what I wanted to do. One client that I actually just wrapped up yesterday comes to mind in terms of like what IRH's knowledge was able to allow me to help other people. So I had this client came to me with debilitating headaches. She had seen four different practitioners. So we ran a GI map gut testing panel on her. We ran an MRT test, and we realized she had some H. pylori at work. Removing those foods, she started to feel better. She also yesterday was telling me like, "Not only have my headaches gotten a lot better, but all of these digestive things that I was dealing with went away, and I didn't even wish for that. I didn't even know that was possible." What IRH provides for me and what this Level One provided for me was the ability to take on more complicated clients. In terms of ROI, more complex cases are going to bring you more income. I cannot recommend it enough. I think the ability to offer functional testing, understand the results when they come to you, and then be able to apply those results to a protocol that you feel comfortable with and confident that it will achieve results for your client, just nothing like it. You're just able to offer a lot more to your clients.
