The interview
Can you introduce yourself and your experience with TeamBonding?
My name is Tiya Bolton. I am based here in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I am the CEO of a global consulting agency. I have a client that we plan their annual meeting every single year, and we love, love, love the work that Team Bonding did. We wanted an immersive experience for 150 executives, and Team Bonding did not let me down.
What was the planning and customization process like?
The planning process once I engaged Team Bonding was really, really easy. It was very much in sync with how we do business. We basically told them, 'These are the ones that we want to consider.' We then figured out which one we were gonna go with, and we were able to customize it. I love that we were able to do that.
How were the logistics and details handled?
Every detail of the logistics from who we were gonna have a charitable component with in our local area, what time they needed to be there, what room they needed to be in, when we were gonna kick off, when things were gonna be set up, all of those details were there, including the shipping of the materials for the actual team building activity.
What stands out to you most about TeamBonding compared to other vendors?
What stands out for me with Team Bonding is just the level of detail. They shared every little detail about when things would be there, about how things would run, and they allowed us to customize it. I saw them as an immersive partner because they didn't give us a cookie cutter approach.
How did the actual event day go?
Event day was smooth. Derek arrived on time. We actually needed to reconfigure the room based on the number of people we had and so forth. We were able to work with the hotel under his guidance to tell us how he needed us to divide those teams, and we were able to get that done pretty seamlessly. We had 19 teams and 150 leaders on that particular instance.
Can you describe the specific activity you chose?
We did the charity guitar build. So we had the 19 groups with the 150 leaders. We wanted them not only to be able to build the guitars that we would then donate to a local charity, we wanted them to have a full on experience. We wanted them to be able to use AI. We wanted them to decorate those guitars. We wanted them to perform a song and compete with one another.
What is your final advice for someone considering TeamBonding?
If you're considering partnering with Team Bonding, I wanna say don't even think about it. Just do it. There's such a wide variety of offerings on the website. No matter what you are, your business does, no matter who your team members are that are gonna be participating, there is something for everyone.
