The interview
What is the most important factor when joining a new community?
I think the most important thing when you're considering joining a community is whose person or people in charge of that community. Do they love people? Do they care about people? Do they go out of their way to help them win? And Kevin does that.
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Nikki Ballou. I live in Toronto, Canada. I help awesome, heart-driven, freedom-minded entrepreneurs have a community where they can feel seen, they can feel supported, and they can scale their businesses 10x plus.
How did you first connect with Kevin Thompson?
I met Kevin through a friend of mine who happened to be one of his clients. And then I have another friend who was his client. I was in a space of wanting to do something new and different to grow my business.
What specifically attracted you to Kevin's message?
I really like Kevin's message about business and life for all about relationships. I happen to agree with that. I actually wrote a book about the subject called The Power of Connecting. So he was speaking my language and I wanted to learn from him how to leverage all the relationships I have to be able to help more people and make more money.
What were your goals when starting the program?
I just wanted to grow our community with good people and I wanted to give it a shot to see if Kevin could actually help bring some good people to the table. We'd been doing things on our own that have grown us to a certain point, but we needed to get to another level.
What tangible results have you seen so far?
We've got one fantastic client as a result of working with him. And I think we're on the verge of having two or three more deals be done as a result of the introductions Kevin has made. We definitely got a return on our investment because we've gotten an excellent new client.
How would you describe Kevin's methodology?
His approach, using and leveraging relationships, made more sense to me than just post away on social media all the time. Kevin's all about connecting people, having them have conversations. It's old-fashioned. That's what works about it from my point of view.
What advice would you give to someone considering Maximum Response?
If someone's looking to join with Kevin, join for six months and go all in on the process. It's an investment. It'll help you meet more people and build new relationships. And if you end up getting clients out of it, the return on your investment will be significant.
