The interview

What is your name and where are you from?

I'm Abby Wilson, and I'm coming from Cedar City, Utah.

What was your situation before joining Vector Marketing?

Well, I was just working a, you know, hourly wage job, and I was just working so many hours in the day, and I wanted something that I could be flexible with and also make a great income at the same time since I was about to go into school.

How did you find out about the position?

Well, it was my friend who found them through a job fair, and then he recommended me to the job, and then I started working here.

Were people honest with you about the role during the hiring process?

No. Everyone was honest when they were telling me about the position and what was what came with it and the pay and just everything about the position. They were honest and real, and the expectations met reality.

What is your favorite customer story?

My favorite customer story is I was it was a recommendation, actually. So I was with one of my friends, and he told me to that his aunt would be willing to see me. His aunt gave me seven recommendations, and one of them was this really nice old lady. And she said she wasn't interested, but she she watched the presentation, heard about the kids program, and she got some knives for her kids for Christmas and gave me a 123 recommendations.

What surprised you most about working here?

Just the culture, really. Everyone was just so accepting and so loving to me, and they really cared about my personal life, which people in other jobs never really cared about my personal life, but these people really have become my friends and some of the closest people in my life, and that really surprised me.

What skills have you developed since starting?

Oh, yeah. Absolutely talking to people. I used to be a pretty shy person, couldn't just walk up and talk to someone, but now I'm really great at building rapport, just kind of formulating questions with people and really getting to know them just upon meeting them. And another one is time management. I've been able to do a lot more things that I want to do in a shorter amount of time.

What kept you motivated to stay with the company?

I think it was the advancement opportunity for sure, the way that I was able to see myself and see other people and where they've been and where they are now, and just really inspiring stories. And also, kinda like I said with what surprised me, the culture.

What would you tell someone considering joining Vector Marketing?

I would tell them just try it. Just set a goal and meet that goal. And if you wanna quit, quit. But just do it. Jump right in. It's wonderful.

She's my favorite. Just the culture, really. Like, I heard it's my friend that recommended me, and he's a great person, and so I knew that it was gonna be great because he's great.
