The interview

What was your situation before contacting The Modern Medicare Agency?

I get a lot of information. I get many things over the mail, so there were some things that I was not understanding. The only thing I knew that there were many options and that people don't get informed the right way or register at the right time, and they lose a lot of benefits, or they end up paying more.

How did you hear about Paul Barrett?

I was having a conversation with a dear friend who is one year older than me. She said, 'No, I'm gonna refer you to somebody who was really good.' So days after that, I call him, and he answered the phone immediately.

What was the initial consultation like?

I asked for an interview. He said, 'Listen, if you want me to go to your house, I can do that.' He came on a Saturday, Saturday morning. He explained the whole process, not only to me but to my husband. He brought information. He was very thorough, and of course, he asked me all the questions to see what could be the best plan for me.

How did the agent handle your specific medical needs?

He asked me all the questions to see what could be the best plan for me. What was my conditions, the doctors? So I explained everything, and that's why he came already with the vision that he could offer to us.

How did you feel about the level of service provided?

He really went above and beyond. That's what I felt. When he showed up at that time, that day, accommodating us with our schedule, I knew he was somebody different who really wanted to do things the right way. He was not rushing. He was taking his time.

What was your final impression of the experience?

I felt confidence that I was in the right hands with him. He said, 'This is a lot of information. Could be a little bit overwhelming. Take your time. Read about this, and if you have questions, just write them down, and you can call me anytime.' I would recommend Paul Barrett because he is an agent that is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience.

Get a lot of information. I get many things over the mail, so there were some things that I was not understanding, and we set up a phone call and answered all my questions. He really went above and beyond. That's what I felt. My name is Maria McPherson. I'm from Holbrook, New York, Long Island, and I'm an accountant, but I've been working for years as a nanny. I was born originally in Peru. I was having a conversation with a dear friend who is one year older than me, and I said, "Okay, so now I know you're sixty-five. You initiated the process." "Yes," she said, "I already finished the process, and I don't know what to do. Everything seems to be so complex." She said, "No, I'm gonna refer you to somebody who was really good." So days after that, I call him, and he answered the phone immediately. And I asked for a, you know, for an interview. He said, "Listen, if you want me to go to your house, I can do that." He came on a Saturday, Saturday morning. He explained the whole process, not only to me but to my husband. He brought information. He was very thorough, and of course, he asked me all the questions to see what could be the best plan for me. What was my conditions, the doctors? So I explained everything, and that's why he came already. You know, the vision that he could offer to us. When he did that, and he showed up at that time, that day, accommodating us with our schedule, I knew he was somebody different who really wanted to do things the right way. The only thing I knew that there were many options and that people don't get informed the right way or register at the right time, and they lose a lot of benefits, or they end up paying more. So I knew that I had to talk to somebody. I had to find an agent. And when you are getting closer to the age, you know, you get a lot of information. Somehow they find you through email or you know how it is. He sounded very professional, very knowledgeable. He explained everything. He brought all the paperwork. He said, "This is a lot of information. Could be a little bit overwhelming. Take your time. Read about this, and if you have questions, just write them down, and you can call me, contact me anytime, and I'll explain everything to you." That's when I thought immediately I felt, I felt confidence that I was in the right hands with him. He was not rushing. He was taking his time. No? I had questions. Even my husband, who's not... He doesn't need Medicare yet, but he wanted to be informed too. He said, "I wanna be ready also when the time comes." So he was answering both of us questions. I would say you have to go with somebody that you can really trust because it could get complicated if you are not well informed. I would recommend Paul Barrett because he is an agent that is very knowledgeable, has a lot of experience, many years in this business. He did a great job. When he worked with me, I mean, he, uh, made me feel that I was in the best hands, so I will recommend this to anybody who feels that this is an overwhelming process and that they should be with an agent that they could trust to get the best results and the best plans for them.
