The interview

Can you introduce yourself and your professional background?

My name is Cynthia Parker. I live in Hanford, California, I work for the Defense Commissary Agency, which is a grocery chain for the government, for the military. And I've been doing that for, 37 years.

What was your primary goal for joining this program?

My goal is to learn the tax lien and tax deeds, and to prepare me for when I retire in the next couple years. So that way I have something stable that gives me additional income to keep my money from my retirement and my pension going.

How long have you been working with Tax Lien Wealth Builders?

I've been doing this a year now. It gave me the information that I needed to check. And I really enjoyed the sessions with her. I learned a lot.

What specific skills have you learned through the coaching sessions?

What she's already has taught me as far as how to look for things and look for the deeds and see if anything is pending on there on the property or not. So that helps. And then the other part is just the picking the property.

What was your main concern or 'pain point' before starting?

My pain point before I started this journey was just once I looked at the estimated amount that I was going to be receiving from Social Security and the amount that I was going to be receiving from my 401k, I just felt that I needed more. I needed something to keep me there.

What would you say to someone who is hesitant to start?

If you're sitting on the fence, my recommendation to you would be don't give up, just try, be patient. Once I got into it and things start happening, I felt that, okay, I am doing the right thing. I'm sticking with this and I'm going forward.

Why do you recommend this program to others?

I recommend because you know what, out in the world today and through school, they don't teach you any of this to help you. It was an eye-opener and things that are available out there that people don't have no idea that is there.
