The interview

Why did you decide to trust Tax Lien Wealth Builders?

I trusted Tax Lien Wealth Builders because the icing on the cake was when I got top-notch service and I hadn't paid yet. They still gave me that customer service. You tell me who does that? That's where that final trust came in.

What is your background and where are you located?

My name is Rita James Gray. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I am retired.

What would have prevented you from joining the program?

Not understanding it. That would be my reason that I wouldn't have joined. But with the orientation—is what I call it—they made it so simple and easy. They talked about teaching you how to use other people's money. And of course my ears perked up, my eyes wide open. I like that!

What is the community and learning environment like?

A group of people from all walks of life, all different areas of departments and professional arenas, we all come together as a team to encourage, inspire, teach, hold your hand—everything you would want in learning something new.

What specific investment results have you achieved?

I have purchased six liens and four deeds because of my coach, Rachel. From the beginning, she held me accountable, she gave me homework. And what I love about her teaching is the fact she would let me take the lead.

How did your coach handle the learning process with you?

She was patient with me because I would get frustrated with myself. She was like, 'It's okay, it's okay. You will get it. Trust me, you will get it.' It was just so inspiring because she wants you to be able to go out and do it on your own, but yet let you know they're there if you need them.

How has your professional life changed since joining?

Before Wealth Builders, I was working for someone else. Now I'm working for myself. And I'm growing and I'm learning and I'm putting this team together. I mean, from my strategist, who's Mike, I met Unified Wealth, I met Carter. Copper Rock, I met Evan. So they're my team, but yet, again, I'm working for myself.

What would you say to someone hesitant to start?

First of all, when they're sitting on the fence, there's a fear there. You just need something to push you over that edge. And my question would be, 'And why not?' I mean, they teach you from A to Z about building your own business. So why not?
