The interview

Who are you and what was your situation before starting the program?

I'm Nikki and this is Joe; we're in Ohio. We were in a position of needing help for so long. For five years we struggled with having children, and every day there was an increasing possibility that we may never have children. Our whole lives revolved around surgeries, medicines, IVF, and everything in between.

What led you to finally commit to Reimagined Health as a 'last resort'?

We reached out two or three years prior but were unsure which route to take and decided to go the IVF route instead. After failed attempts and miscarriages, we reached back out in total desperation. I had just had a D&C after IVF, developed shingles, and had diagnoses of autoimmune issues. I was in really bad shape physically and mentally.

What were your biggest hesitations or skepticism about the program?

The thing that made me hesitate most was the online format. I'm in the medical field, so I was an extreme skeptic about the naturalistic side, changing diet, and taking supplements. I didn't love that we would do Zoom calls and never be with a doctor one-on-one, and the upfront cost was a concern.

How quickly did you notice changes once you started?

Probably a month in, I already started seeing a difference in my health. I really started to notice a difference with the consistency of the supplements and diet. Then, we were just two weeks short of the program being finished, and I was pregnant. We never thought that was possible.

What happened with your autoimmune diagnosis during the pregnancy?

I remember Dr. Nashat said she wouldn't be surprised if the antibodies for my autoimmune went away during the pregnancy. We monitored the whole pregnancy through blood work, and the autoimmune disappeared. Her AMH level also went up, which everything you read says is impossible.

How do you feel about the results now that you have your baby?

To see her holding the baby is just euphoria every day. We're sleeping way better than we did for the five years we were struggling. Second to God, we credit Dr. Nashat; she helped us so much. If we were able to have a child after everything we went through, anybody is able to.

Frequently asked

Does Reimagined Health work if you have a medical background and are skeptical of supplements?

Nikki, who works in the medical field, was an extreme skeptic of the 'naturalistic side' and changing diet or supplements. However, she followed the program religiously and was 'glad they made a fool out of her' when the results proved her skepticism wrong.

Is the online Zoom format effective for medical consultations?

Nikki initially hesitated because the program was entirely online and she worried about never being with a doctor one-on-one. Despite these concerns, the virtual format delivered life-changing results including a successful pregnancy.

Can functional medicine help with low AMH levels?

According to Nikki's husband Joe, her AMH levels actually went up during the program. He noted that while everything they read said it was impossible for those levels to increase, seeing that change is what made him believe in the program.

We were in a position of needing help for so long. Now we want to help others and be an advocate f- for this program and for any other program that might help people not lose hope. I'm Nikki. This is Joe. We're in Ohio. Well, a lot of people ask us how we're sleeping now that we have a baby, and I think we're sleeping way better than we did for the five years that we were struggling with having children. Every day there was an increasing, growing possibility that we may never have children. As the world c- continues to turn and life keeps moving, it's extremely difficult to pretend like everything's okay for years and years and years. Our whole lives revolved around surgeries and medicines and IVF and everything in between. It was two, three years prior to actually committing to the program, we reached out, and we were kind of unsure of which route to take, and that was before we decided to go IVF, and it was just kind of like where our finances were and everything, and we were right back to where we started. After failed attempts, miscarriages, we reached back out, and it was, if I'm being honest, kind of a last resort, and had we known what we know now, we would have probably gone that route first. Yeah. Yeah, we went to her in total desperation, a last resort. The thing that made me hesitate most was everything being in online format. I'm in the medical field, so we had tried every medicine. I was an extreme skeptic, you know, just knowing, like, the naturalistic side and the, uh, changing your diet and taking supplements. It just felt like we were pooling at straws, and I didn't love how, from what we were explained to, that we would do, like, Zoom calls and never actually be with a doctor one-on-one. I was worried about that. The upfront cost. I came from a traditional medicine standpoint and thought that we had tried all of that. How could this possibly work? So I am so glad that they made a fool out of me for questioning it. I had just had a D&C after IVF when we started the program, and following that, I developed shingles. I had diagnosises of autoimmune issues. So starting the program, I was in really bad shape physically and mentally, just with all of the stress that we were dealing with. Probably a month, I already started seeing a difference in my health. I really started to notice a difference with the consistency of, like, the supplements and diet and everything. And then by, I think, uh, we were just two weeks short of the program being finished, and I was pregnant. We never thought that was possible. That was far from celebration for us, though, because we had had so many pregnancies that had ended badly. So we were pregnant, but that wasn't the time to cheer, you know, or celebrate in any way. I was feeling better, and I remember Dr. Neshath said she wouldn't be surprised if during this pregnancy the antibodies for my autoimmune went away. And we monitored the whole pregnancy through blood work, and the autoimmune disappeared. That was interesting. There's a lot of truth in- Yeah ... you know, diet and supplementing and just being... getting overall to a healthier standpoint. Her AMH level also went up too- Yeah ... which was incredible. Everything you read says that that's impossible to go up, and once your AMH level went up, that's when I kind of started to believe that we were doing the right thing. Yeah. I started out doing the program in spite. I will eat whatever they say. I'll refrain from everything just so at the end I can say I did everything right when it doesn't work. That's how cynical I was about it. So I was very black and white doing the program, but I did it, and so did you, religiously. Well, first of all, he wanted to jump through the phone to hug Dr. Neshath because at the beginning he said, "You know, when this doesn't work, I kind of told you so, but we're gonna try it, and I'll support you and everything." And by the end, he was, like, a spokesperson for the program. When we were going through all of our losses and our heartache, we grew very close to... We grew in our faith, and God is totally responsible for our baby. There's no doubt about it. But second to God, it would be Dr. Neshath. She helped us so much. I'm still, you know, beyond words to describe what it feels like. But I know that there are so many people that deal with similar issues that we dealt with. I would say that if we were able to have a child, anybody on Earth is able to, for sure, because of everything that we had gone through. I would have quit a long time ago. She's my hero for pushing through all of this and, you know, going through what she went through is beyond anything that any mother or wife would have to go through. To see her holding the baby is just... It's utopia every day. It's, uh, euphoria, I guess.
