The interview

Who are you and what is your professional background?

My name is Theo Spight, and I'm a retired auto worker with the Big Three.

What prompted you to reach out to Panic Proof Retirement?

The reason I reached out to Panic Proof was just their initial message resonated with me. I just recently retired, and I had to do something with my 401k because with the old job, it just stops. I saw the commercials, and I had some more questions.

How would you describe the initial consultation and atmosphere?

It was great, actually. It was just like just talking to a friend. There was no pressure. I felt it was very precise in asking me what I want out of the program and the services that they could provide. They gave me different options and then left the final decision up to me again with no pressure, no pressure at all.

How did the firm handle your specific financial goals?

They literally walked me through everything step by step. They had detailed plans on what I wanted, my goals were, because I'm still young. I'm retired, but I'm only 52, so I still have a ways to go before I could actually touch any of the stuff. My thing was just about just trying to have some growth between now and whenever I might need to touch it. They heard what my goals were and built a plan based around those goals.

What is your overall feeling about the plan they created for you?

The plan that they came up with was just really just left me feeling good about the future and again, just wishing that, wishing I had conversations like that before. It really just all really just came together for me.

What would you say to someone hesitant about working with them?

I would just say keep in mind the name of the company, Panic Proof. Their whole goal is to put you in a situation where you don't have to worry about anything. I think somebody should at least go and sit down with them. If you go and you have that sit down, I think you'll come away doing exactly what I did, and that's becoming a part of their clients list.

Since working with Panic Proof Retirement, it made me wish that I would have found them earlier. But nevertheless, I had limited knowledge of how to manage that money, so I didn't do a lot with it prior to that. So it just really... The plan that they came up with was just really just left me feeling good about the future and again, just wishing that, wishing I had conversations like that before. My name is Theo Spike, and I'm a retired auto worker with the Big Three. The reason I reached out to Panic Proof was just their, uh, initial message resonated with me. I just recently retired, and I had to do something with my four oh one K because with the old job, it just stops. And I saw the commercials, and I wanted to... I had some more questions. Fortunately for me, they answered the questions the way I needed them to be answered, and the rest was history. It was great, actually. It was just like just talking to a friend. There was no pressure. I felt it was very precise in asking me what I want out of the program and the services that they could provide. They gave me different options and then left the final decision up to me again with no pressure, no pressure at all, but they were able to answer questions. When we just sat there, and I felt like we had a very detailed walkthrough on what I wanted versus what they offered, and it really, it just all really just came together for me. The whole process, they literally walked me through everything step by step. They had detailed plans on what I wanted, my goals were, because I'm still young. I'm retired, but I still have like... I'm only fifty-two, so I still have a ways to go before I could actually touch any of the stuff. So my thing was just about just trying to have some growth between now and whenever I might need to touch it, and I had specific goals in mind for that. And they heard what my goals were and built a plan based around those goals and based around the services that they can offer to help implement those goals. If you were hesitant about working with Panic Proof, I would just say keep in mind the name of the company, Panic Proof. Their whole goal is to put you in a situation where you don't have to worry about anything, and I don't think they chose that name just by throwing a, a blind, you know, blindly throwing a dart against a wall. I think there was purpose behind creating a company like this with a name like that, and I think that... I think somebody should at least go and sit down with them because initially that's all I wanted to do. I just wanted to... I saw a commercial that was interesting to me, and I was like, "Well, let me go and have a sit down." And I think if you do that, if you go and you have that sit down, I think you'll come away doing exactly what I did, and that's becoming a part of the, uh, of their clients list.
