The interview

What is your name and current status in the program?

My name is Dishit, and I'm in the Activate level for the second year in this Momentum program.

What major milestone are you celebrating today?

I'm celebrating my first sale ever! This one sale validates my idea, and I know that this is what people want.

How did you go about launching and validating your idea?

I had created a Reddit post to launch a community. The community was a book club kind of a community. That particular post gathered lot of interest. There were around 40,000 views around it.

Why was this specific result so significant for you?

For me, it was a big thing because it validated my idea, which I've been trying to validate it since last two years.

How did the program help you handle the sales process?

It also helped me because I had lot of objections around doing the sales or chatterboxing. And really, the sales process was really smooth because I was just curious about what she wanted, and because I wanted to make a custom program for her, and I wanted her to succeed.

What was the outcome of that first sales conversation?

She just said yes. So that was the most beautiful thing about it. This is the first step where I could validate my idea. And then now I know I can build upon this.

What are your next steps following this win?

I got a community which from where I can kind of get more consistent, more leads around it. So that's a big win for me.
