The interview
What was your initial impression of the Clinician Business Labs team?
I really liked how the team at Clinician Business Labs worked together so seamlessly, how generous they were, how much they focused on serving us as clinicians, and how well they understood what it was like to be a clinician and to want to serve people well.
What was your business situation before working with them?
Before working with Clinician Business Labs, I really wasn't sure what I should be focusing on. And that was a bit of an energy drain. I feel very confident about how I help people build better knees, but I don't have a marketing or an operations business type background.
How did their specific recommendations change your daily operations?
Being given very specific recommendations really directed where I put my time and energy and eliminated the guesswork of what I should be focusing on. Their support has been incredibly valuable.
What breakthroughs did you experience regarding your online presence?
I had a hesitation about being visible. I'm not someone that seeks out the spotlight, yet it was really critical to learn how to be present on different media. My primary platform is YouTube and I've built that to 10,000 subscribers. It's been really helpful to recognize that by being visible, I'm being of better service to people.
How has your decision-making process evolved?
Another benefit was being able to take action and be more decisive. Now I can take better action, more 'imperfect action,' I guess you'd say. And that keeps the business side of things moving forward.
Was there anything that surprised you about the coaching process?
I didn't need a radical course correction necessarily; it was sometimes really subtle things. I would be on a group call and someone else was asking a question, and their answer gave me inspiration for something I could do in my own practice, even though our practices or clients were vastly different.
What would you say to someone considering joining their programs?
It is a generous, service-oriented community. It has been so incredibly supportive to me, and it kind of meets you wherever you are in your journey. Whether you are further down the road or newer to marketing, you'll get benefit there. It's a really good opportunity.
